Microsoft profiles brand designer plucked directly from its enthusiast community
Its not every day that fans of a company are able to work on the products that they admired from a far. That’s what makes Microsoft’s Andrew Kim so awesome. After releasing a series of branding redesigns for many of Microsoft’s products last year, Kim found has found himself working for Microsoft’s Xbox Team.
The company profiled Kim on its Stories blog last week, and included everything from Kim’s initial designs to his path to working for the biggest Microsoft consumer brand outside of Windows and Office.
It’s worth a read even if you’re just going to gaze at Kim’s designs and wonder about what could be or could have been if Microsoft decided to take his branding advice company-wide.
