Sure, Microsoft could hold one big giant sale on Xbox Live on December 31st, but it wouldn’t be as cool as — and as long running — as its typical Countdown discounts. To that end, it’s once again time for Microsoft to dazzle us with special deals to mark the coming new year. As a part of the Countdown to 2014 promotion users can pick up Borderlands 2 and its related content on the cheap.

So how much do users save exactly? That depends specifically on their region. Xbox 360 users in the United States are getting the game for 75% off, making Borderlands 2 just $7.49. The Vault Hunter Upgrade, Psycho Pack, Headhunter 1 Bloody Harvest Pack, and Terraria Pack are all at least 50% off as well.

Xbox 360 users have until December 23rd to pick up discounted digital copies of FIFA 14, NHL 14, Bioshock Infinite, Madagascar 3, Rise of the Guardians, Spider-Man: Edge of Time, Spider-Man: Friend or Foe, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions, Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, X-Men Destiny, X-Men Origins Wolverine, X-Men: Origins Wolverine Weapon X, X-Men: The Official Game and Deadpool.

If you’re on the fence about picking up one of these titles, now is the time to make your move. After all, what better time to make your gaming backlog disappear than the Christmas holiday?
