All of a sudden Microsoft just isn’t sitting still when it comes to delivering entertainment apps for the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Just a week after Syfy Now and USA Now surfaced on Xbox Live, Microsoft is adding another content provider to its gaming and entertainment platforms: Starz Play.
Microsoft announced the arrival of Starz Play earlier this week on Xbox Wire. Through Starz Play cable subscribers can settle down for an evening filled with hour-long scripted programing and some of the best movies ever made — yes, we mean Disney’s Frozen. Of course, users will need a cable or satellite subscription to fully enjoy the app, plus a subscription to the network itself. Starz is throwing users a bone though. Those who download Starz Play now can watch he first episode of Outlander at absolutely no charge.
