Star Wars Battlefront was a breakout hit for DICE and Electronic Arts. It’s been a few years, though. Both are hoping that Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be more popular than the original game was.

Mostly, the setup still seems to be the same. Star Wars Battlefront 2 will keep the multiplayer mode that so many people loved. Players can become the heroes or villains that everyone loves through power-ups and progression.

There are major differences. The original was multiplayer only. That’s why so many balked at its $60 price tag. Star Wars Battlefront 2 will have a dedicated single-player story that gamers can experience without Xbox Live or an internet connection. Second, the multiplayer maps will come from more parts of the franchise than the original offered. Finally, the multiplayer will get a class system to help players determine what kind of hero they want to be.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 launches worldwide on November 17th.
