The smaller of HTC’s line-up, the Windows Phone 8S sports a dual-core 1Ghz processor, a 5 megapixel camera, a 4 inch Super LCD screen covered in gorilla glass, and comes in color combinations of black and white, blue and black, gray and green, and just orange. The device also features an option for expandable storage.
No matter how nice you might think that 8S is the Windows Phone 8X (pictured above) is clearly meant to be the show stopper here with 720p resolution 4.3-inch Super LCD 2 screen – covered in Gorilla Glass. We’re also talking pretty modern internals as well, with the phone featuring a dual-core 1.5Ghz processor, 16GBs of storage, a 2.1 megapixel front facing camera and an 8MP rear camera. The 8X will come in blue, black, red, and yellow.
Both devices will feature HTC’s Beats Audio – a first for any of their Windows Phone devices. In another first they’ll be known strictly as the Windows Phone 8X and Windows Phone 8S, something we’re still trying to wrap our heads around. So far we’ve heard nothing on price or specifics on which mobile phone operators will carry which devices, but when we do, you’ll be the first to know. We do know that they will both ship on “150-plus carriers in 50 countries” in November.
