This Week’s Xbox 360 Releases: WWE 2013, Assain’s Creed 3, Marvel Avengers

It’s another prime week for gaming enthusiast with an appetite for super heroes, super assassins, sequels, and super cheesy storylines with Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth, Assassin’s Creed III, and WWE 2013 all making their debuts on the Xbox 360.

Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth

What do you get when you add the characters of Marvel Comics, the amazing story that was the Secret Invasion comics, and the ability to experience both without the need to pick up a controller? You get the biggest superhero brawl/beatdown this side of Iron Man 2: The Video Game. To be fair, that’s not really much to live up to, the latter was a horrible video game. Releasing October 30th

Assassin’s Creed III

Let’s see what we have here. Desmond and his gun-for-hire brethren are back. This time we take a look at the rise of another civilization, The United States. We’re so excited for this game’s storyline, multiplayer, and gameplay mechanics we can hardly contain our glee or look at a hatchet the same way. Releasing October 30th

WWE 2013

An updated roster of wrestlers headline this year’s installment of the franchise including boxer Mike Tyson. Releasing October 30th

Lego Lord of the Rings

It seems every time you open your browser to a gaming website, they are either preparing to or just reviewed a Lego-inspired edition of a well-known pop-culture franchise. This year it’s Frodo and The Gang’s turn to make us all laugh and quickly switch characters to advance in levels. Releasing October 30th

Other releases include the Kinect-cenetric Nike+ Kinect Training and Need for Speed: Most Wanted – A Criterion Game, and Toy Story Mania!, the latter two of which don’t exclusively require the Kinect Sensor to play.

The Rockstar Games Collection also debuts this week. The collective bundle includes Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Livery City, L.A. Noire, and Midnight Club: Los Angeles.

Yep, there’s something for the everyone debuting this week. Now to find some spare gaming cash this close to Halo 4, that’s a topic we’re decidedly less optimistic on.
