Remember that Windows 8.1 update that Microsoft detailed in the early summer? That update, which includes fresh versions of Xbox Music, Xbox Video and Xbox Games, is now available in the Windows Store for users to download.
To be clear, of the three updated applications Xbox Music clearly received the most attention. That update includes a completely retooled interface and no longer puts Microsoft’s Xbox Music Pass at the forefront of the entire application.
Xbox Video on the other now features automated recommendations like the version of Xbox Video for the Xbox 360. Microsoft has also made it easier to find Windows games and message other users in the Xbox Games application.
Users who have Windows a desktop, laptop or tablet running Windows 8 can download the update from the Windows Store free of charge. The update also includes upgrades to multitasking, more Start Screen customizability and the option to boot into the Windows Desktop instead of going to the Start Screen.
