It looks like users can expect the Halo 5 beta to kick off on December 27th.
Gaming website Joystiq revealed the date for the Halo 5: The Guardians beta testing period earlier today, citing information passed on to it by 343 Industries head Bonnie Ross. We don’t yet know what features will be ready for users to test in that beta, but we do know that it’ll last for three weeks following its debut two days after the Christmas holidays in the United States.
To say its been a very interesting week for Halo fans would be an understatement. Initially, the entire lot of them went into E3 2014 expecting Microsoft to announce a high-definition remake of Halo 2. What they got was Halo: The Master Chief Collection, a massive cache of previous Halo games all stuffed onto one disc. Xbox One users who purchase Halo: The Master Chief Collection will get complimentary access to the Halo 5 beta.
Halo 5: The Guardians is expected to launch next fall on the Xbox One. It won’t be coming to the Xbox 360.
