If you thought it was cruel and unusual for Nick to announce the new season of Avatar: The Legend of Korra just a week before it’s air date last week, news of a Legend of Korra video game are going to positively have you fuming. This week Nick announced a new video game that’ll feature the show’s characters made by the same studio who produced Bayonetta.
Unfortunately, there’s not much information to go on just yet. We only have a trailer of the game and a targeted release date of this fall. That being said, Polygon did get some time with the game’s combat system. It came away impressed that the game’s developer, Platinum games, was able to weave different elemental attacks into a very competent combat system.
Avatar: The Legend of Korra follows a teenager with powers to control earth, air, water and fire. Korra, like the Avatars before her, are charged with maintaining balance between the different nations that are able to bend each element. The third season of the show premieres tonight on Nick at 7:30 PM Eastern Standard Time.
