Next year’s ‘Assassin’s Creed Victory’ revealed

This time next year Ubisoft hopes that Xbox One and PlayStation 4 users will be immersed in a new all-inclusive game world modeled after a big European city: London. This week, a leak revealed Assassin’s Creed Victory, the next major game in the long-running Assassin’s Creed franchise developed by Ubisoft.

Kotaku revealed Assassin’s Creed Victory’s setting along with some important features in a report late yesterday. Since the leak first surfaced, Ubisoft has confirmed the existence of the game itself and hasn’t rejected the idea of it arriving next year.

According to that leak, Assassin’s Creed Victory will use the same graphics engine — and therefor look just as good as — this year’s Assassin’s Creed Unity. Besides taking place in London, the game of course, introduces a new Assassin. A new grappling gun will allow assassin’s to move more quickly around the city. Assassin’s Creed Victory is so named because it takes place during the reign of Queen Victoria.

In confirming the game’s existence Ubisoft also revealed that this will be the first title in the series lead by its development team at Ubisoft Quebec. Previous games in the series were developed by Ubisoft Montreal.
