It was only a week ago that buyers of Batman: Arkham Knight were gawking at how much purchasing a Season Pass that would give them access to all the game’s content would cost. Now Warner Brothers and developer Rocksteady is back with a more detailed list of extras that users are getting for their $40.
Warner Brothers provided more details about the Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass in a post on its community forum over the weekend. While we did know that the Season Pass would cost $40 and include extra story content, we didn’t know a lot about it.
Batgirl: A Matter of Family, is the highlight of the Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass. It’s an add-on expansion with its own story and location. Xbox One owners will be able to play as Batgirl in this expansion, something no one has been able to do in a story related mission before. Batgirl: A Matter of Family takes place before the events of Batman: Arkham Knight’s story.
A Season of Infamy add-on will also add more story content to the game, along with its own unique gameplay features (we don’t know what those are yet). Rocksteady says that this will include multiple missions. Gotham City Stories includes more story set before and after what happens in Batman: Arkham Knight’s campaign. Batmobile’s from across the franchise are available with the Season Pass too. They come with race tracks themed for their era too. Character skins for Batman, Robin, Nightwing and Catwoman are included too. There are Crimefighter Challenge Maps too, along with some other extras that Rocksteady isn’t ready to talk about yet.
Batman: Arkham Knight will cost $60 on its own, or $99 together with its Season Pass. Surprisingly, that $99 version with everything bundled together sounds like the best deal. The game is only coming to Windows PCs, Sony’s PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One on June 23rd.
