The Culture: ‘Halo 5’ becomes better than any Harry Potter game

I’ve made a number of, should we say, questionable purchases over the years. None of them were weirder than the time I decided to purchase Sony’s PlayStation 2 just so I could play Harry Potter Quidditch World Cup. I’ve waited years for Electronic Arts to develop another version of the game. The ever-clever Halo 5: Guardians community must understand my struggle though. Quidditch is just one of the many fan-made activities that the game’s multiplayer now supports.

Halo 5 community member xXHugabearXx managed to create a game mode dedicated entirely to the wizarding sport. He shows off a match in a YouTube video making its way around the web. Qudditch involves two teams of players flying around on broomsticks trying to score points and capture the Golden Snitch to end the game. The game mode that Hugabear has created perfectly matches the Quidditch pitch at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from the Harry Potter movie series.

Search for the game mode “Quidditch” if you’re looking to find Hugabear’s creation. Halo 5: Guardians only received the Forge mode that makes Quidditch possible a few months ago. Griffball is another fan favorite.
