In case you haven’t realized it by now, this weekend’s launch of Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice has folks all into super hero fantasies. You know, despite some reviews calling the new picture starring Ben Affleck “terrible.” Smartly, Microsoft is taking advantage of the release with Microsoft Movies & TV Free Movie Weekend. Until Monday, anyone is free to rent Iron Man: Rise of Technovore.
Iron Man: Rise of the Technovore is available to rent as you read this now. Starring most of the heroes from The Avengers, the animated movie has lots of action. We’re talking Hawkeye, War Machine, Black Widow and the infamous Nick Fury, head of SHIELD. The irony of all these characters being Marvel heroes and not from DC Comics characters isn’t lost on me, but I digress.
To take advantage of the free Iron Man: Rise of Technovore rental users only need a decent internet connection and a Microsoft Account. It’s also important to have access to one of the platforms that support movie streaming from the Windows Store. We’re talking Xbox One, Xbox 360, Windows Phone, Windows 8 and Windows 10. The company used to have an online streaming app, but that’s gone by the wayside in recent months. Sorry iPhone and Mac fans, there’s no Microsoft Movies & TV Free Movie Weekend to be had on those platforms.
Microsoft is also slashing the cost of Technovore, plus a load of other movies with super heroes as part of the Movies & TV Free Movie Weekend promotion.
