I sincerely hope that Battlefield 1’s release this week hasn’t caused you to swear off testing video games from every developer. Today on Xbox Live, the gaming community’s biggest test experience kicks off. The Call of Duty Infinite Warfare beta that you’ve all been waiting for has arrived.
Okay, so the Call of Duty Infinite Warfare beta wasn’t unexpected. We’ve known about it ever since Activision revealed the game itself. It also doesn’t hurt that every recent game in the franchise had one. Those that pre-ordered the game get access to the testing period by using the codes they received with their purchase of a physical version of the game at a participating retailer like GameStop. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 owners that purchased the game digitally can expect to be let into the beta as well. Head to the Call of Duty Infinite Warfare beta website to redeem your code and check your status for entry into the testing period.
The beta website also has a breakdown of all the different content that players can expect — including one of the most interesting space planes I’ve seen in a war game in some time. That’s saying a lot too. It feels like we’ve gotten at least one futuristic shooter a year for the last half decade.
Call of Duty Infinite Warfare launches on November 4th on Windows PCs, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
