Activision and Bungie will give Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC gamers their first taste of Destiny 2 Expansion 2 very, very soon.
Bungie and Activision announced the reveal date for the new piece of add-on content today, April 23rd. This reveal event is set for April 24th, and you can watch it from the comfort of your living room on Destiny’s Twitch profile at 1 P.M. Eastern Time.
I could drop a joke here about announcing an announcement, but I’ve not had my afternoon coffee yet. You’re spared, for now.
Thanks to a new teaser, we know Destiny 2 Expansion 2 is called Warmind. It’s set on Mars. Expect new upgrades for Crucible multiplayer and a new area to explore, called Hellas Basin. Destiny 2: Warmind is the first major update to come to the game since Curse of Osiris last year. If you purchased the Destiny 2 Expansion Pass, you get this new update at no extra charge. The Expansion Pass costs $34.99 at GameStop for each platform.
Having dropped Destiny 2 from my weekly gaming line-up before the first expansion dropped, I’m anxious to see if Bungie is able to excite players with this new content. It doesn’t appear as if Destiny 2 is enjoying the same extended life and dedication the first game in the series did. Warmind might be just what the game needs to lure fans back to their Guardian.
