Way back in 2010, Microsoft kicked off Bing Rewards, a promotion designed to get users to experience the world’s second largest search engine in exchange for gift cards to retailers and services. Yesterday, Microsoft added gift cards for another store front, the Windows Phone Store.
Starting immediately Bing Rewards members can buy gift cards to the Windows Phone Store to purchase apps and games. 170 Bing Rewards Points will net you $1.25, while 525 Bing Rewards Points will net you $5.00 to use towards your favorite apps and games.
There is one tiny caveat here for those who aren’t planning to jump on the Windows Phone 8 this Friday , the offer seems to be exclusively available to those with Windows Phone 8 devices.
