Users with investments in Xbox Store content have cause for dancing in the streets. Users who purchased content through Xbox 360, Xbox One, or Zune Software can now enjoy that content through the new Xbox Video area of Xbox.com
Silently launched earlier this morning, Video.Xbox.com finally lets users enjoy the content they’ve paid by just opening their internet browser. Unfortunately, as there is no high-definition streaming through the web interface, users will still need to open the Xbox Video app if they’re running Windows 8 or Windows 8.1.
What’s interesting is that Microsoft choose to use the interface for Xbox Music in this web application instead of directly porting the interface for Xbox Video on Windows. That’s great news as we found that Xbox Video on Windows’ interface just wasn’t as well done as Xbox Music on Windows. There’s still no word on when users will see Xbox Video support come to Windows Phone 8.
