Microsoft confirms the white Xbox One is on the way

Microsoft is releasing a white Xbox One and it’ll be included in the Xbox One Sunset Overdrive bundle beginning later this year. That’s on top of Call of Duty Advanced Warfare bundle that’ll include a terabyte in internal storage.

Many of Microsoft’s retail partners began taking pre-orders for the Xbox One Sunset Overdrive shortly after Microsoft announced the console at its Gamescom 2014 Xbox Media Briefing. When it arrives on October 28th, it’ll include a white Xbox One along with a matching white Xbox One controller. Both of these are identical to the white Xbox One that Microsoft’s own Xbox employees were given as gifts for shipping the console. A digital copy of Sunset Overdrive along with a bonus weapon and some extras will be included with every Sunset Overdrive Xbox One bundle.

As it turns out the Sunset Overdrive bundle is an offshoot of the basic Xbox One. It’ll cost $399 and won’t include a matching Kinect 2 sensor. As such, users who purchase the console are either choosing to forgo the entertainment, live television, and navigation options that the Kinect 2 sensor lends the console, or plan to pick up the Kinect 2 sensor separately when it arrives on store shelves later this year.

Microsoft also announced a customized Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Xbox One bundle. That bundle will include an Xbox One console that’s been customized to match the aesthetics of gadgets users will find in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on launch day. An included controller painted to mirror the console will also be included in the bundle along with a digital copy of the game itself and some extras. Not included in those extras is a Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Season Pass for users to all the games coming add-ons. This Xbox One is more than just a fresh paint job too. Buyers of the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Xbox One Bundle will get one a hard drive built into their console that has a ridiculous a terabyte storage capacity.

The Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Xbox One Bundle launches with the retail copy of the game on November 4th, however users will be able to play the game a day early if they pre-order the system.
