Tonight on Xbox Live: The final episode of ‘Halo: Nightfall’

Will Agent Locke survive his brush with death? Will a new breed of aliens who use technology to hunt down its victims claim more UNSC soldiers and their brethren? Will Agent Locke actually be clearly visible in most shots? Fans of Halo rejoice, for tonight you may dine on the finest of popcorn, snuggle up with your Xbox One controller and stream the final episode of Halo: Nightfall.

Microsoft’s latest experiment with linear video story telling for the Halo universe comes to an end tonight for anyone and everyone who picked up Halo: The Master Chief Collection for Xbox One since November. Watching the episode is as simple as opening the Halo Channel companion app that Microsoft launched alongside Halo: The Master Chief Collection, though you’ll need to have made the necessary game purchase. The show should go live in the Halo Channel around 7PM EST, 4PM Pacific.

Michel Colter stars as Agent Locke, an officer from the Office of Naval Intelligence who’ll feature prominently in Halo 5: Guardians when it launches in 2015. Another Halo series being produced for Showtime launches in late 2015. Ridley Scott served as a producer for Halo: Nightfall. No word if Microsoft plans to offer the show for purchase directly though the Xbox Store at some point.
