Microsoft seems to be taking the criticism leveled at its Xbox Live Games with Gold offers to heart. After months of what some would call uninteresting titles, Microsoft is stepping up its efforts. The Xbox Live Games with Gold promotion for July includes free copies of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.
Microsoft began offering Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag free to Xbox Live Gold subscribers this morning, just as clocks struck midnight Pacific Standard Time. Normally, the Xbox One game would cost $29.99. This title will be free all month. So Many Me, a relatively new Xbox One title that costs $14.99 will take Massive Chalice’s place on July 16th.
Xbox 360 isn’t lost in the fray either. Xbox 360 users with an Xbox Live Gold subscription get Gears of War 3 free on July 16th and Plants vs. Zombies beginning today.
An Xbox Live Gold subscription costs $9.99 a moth or $59.99 a year.
