We’d been wondering when Microsoft would let the world in on how they would be celebrating Windows 8’s general availability. Early this afternoon Microsoft sent press outlets invitations to what we expect will be a pretty interesting Windows 8 shindig complete with a reception for in honor of the Microsoft Surface which is expecting to be available at midnight the following morning.
Our schedules being what they are; indeed the Windows Phone 8 launch event is on the 29th in San Francisco and Microsoft’s BUILD Conference is running October 29th -November 2nd; we’ll be running around the clock to bring you as much up-to-the-minute coverage as is humanly possible without breaking the Prime Directive.
