See it Soon: Fox Sets Date for ‘Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey’

Space and science buffs should get excited. 21st Century Fox has announced that Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey, the upcoming refresh of the original Cosmos documentary that featured Carl Sagan and inspired an entire generation to look up at the stars, will go global once it airs in the United States.

Variety reports that 21st Century Fox and National Geographic will quickly scale the show’s reach following its début. In short, that means that viewers outside of the United States won’t be left out in the cold to download or pirate the series’ 13 episodes. The two companies plan to make Cosmos available to 400 million homes with the help of 90 National Geographic outlets and 120 Fox owned or related networks around the world.

The show, which will cover topics ranging from evolution to the origins of matter itself, premieres on March 9 and March 10 in the United States. Hosting it will be famed scientist Neil deGrasse Tyson.
