Microsoft is breathing new life into the Xbox 360 with a new update that adds storage and some quality-of-life improvements for those who frequent its games and video stores.
Microsoft’s Larry Hyrb announced the new Xbox 360 update rolling out to users now in a post on Twitter this morning. The announcement came even before Microsoft had a post about the update ready for news outlets. Microsoft is increasing the amount of USB storage Xbox 360 owners can use for game downloads and more to 2TB. In addition to that, this new Xbox 360 software update adds ways to change Microsoft Account passwords, see Microsoft Account balances and browse a list of the stuff they’ve previously purchased. That last feature was highly requested by users, who were forced to visist Microsoft’s Xbox website for purchase history before.
Anyone with an Xbox 360 connected to Xbox Live should find they are asked to update the next time they log in.
