Users who pick up Madden NFL 16 will get to gaze at Odell Beckham’s New Your Giants jersey as they ride home with their copy of the game this coming August. That’s just one of the new details video game developer Electronic Arts is sharing about the latest entry in the world-famous football franchise this week.
Electronic Arts announced Beckham Jr. had won its cover vote last night on ESPN, just as it was revealing why anyone would want to buy Madden NFL 16 this year. Beckham Jr. is a wide receiver in the National Football League, which hints at Madden NFL 16’s new features. Madden NFL 16 focuses on a revamped passing mechanic for the most part. A new body-throw mechanic, touch passes, ad roll out passes are all included in this game. EA Sports is also adding a risk vs. reward system for passes, rewarding those who try something audacious at the 40 yard line. An updated Connected Franchise Mode is included in the game, along with Playmaker Broadcasts, an easy way to track the plays you do completely successfully using the game’s built-in camera angles. Madden Ultimate Team is getting Online Head to Head Seasons and NFL Legends as collectibles.
Madden NFL 16 will cost $60 when it launches on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4. It’s already available for pre-order at Amazon. Electronic Arts is giving users extra credit to used towards Madden Ultimate Team if they pre-order.
