Madden Season officially started today when Madden 16 arrived for subscribers of EA Access on the Xbox One overnight. Adding some spice to the release week festivities is Madden 16: The Movie, a four-minute long promotional trailer for the Madden 16 release that’ll have you thinking anyone can be an action star.
Electronic Arts posted the “Madden 16: The Movie” trailer to its YouTube page this morning. Seriously, the trailer is nothing short of insane. Roughly, it’s a mash-up of every action movie you’ve ever seen. Fast cars, from Furious 7, dinosaurs from Jurassic World and just plan strangeness. (Even it has a better story than the Fast & Furious movies though.) Madden 16: The Movie is about The Playmakers, a team of action heroes made up of Dave Franco, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Julio Jones, Rob Gronkowski, Colin Kaepernick, Antonio Brown and Rex Ryan. Electronic Arts, the game’s developer says it has follow-up videos on the way for anyone who subscribes to the EA Sports YouTube Channel.
Madden 16 season kicks into high gear on August 25th when the game arrives on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. EA Access is only available on the Xbox One. Odell Beckham Jr. is on the cover of Madden 16. Enhanced presentation, video recording and a risk vs. reward system are the focus of the title.
