Microsoft says that its Xbox One entertainment console will be the only place for gamers to enjoy Homefront: The Revolution ahead of its May 27th release.
Microsoft revealed exclusive access for the Homefront: The Revolution beta this morning in a post on Xbox Wire. The company says that access to the beta will require tokens, which will be awarded to users over the coming days online in special promotions and more. It doesn’t seem as if there are any immediate plans to open that beta to everyone with an Xbox One console like some other games.
Homefront: The Revolution is an open-world first-person shooter that takes place in Philadelphia. In the game, players are a resistance fighter trying to retake the city from occupying forces that have decimated the American way of life there. The game is also coming to the PlayStation 4 and Windows PCs too.
