It’s been nearly a week since we were informed of the Zune downtime, but we’re still getting isolated reports of random issues. What issues do you ask? Social Plays disappearing, profile pictures being missing in action, or picks not showing up at all. Yeah. Apparently I haven’t listened to any music yet…
I would say 90% of the time something Zune related to my profile is down whether it be my music history, random icons disappearing or inbox… Many things, I love the new features, but a lot of things are just getting missed up and I wish they would perfect the stuff they already have before moving on to new things…
Seems like they are just suffering from an influx of traffic that’s causing a few issues. I’m perfectly happy withthem moving on to new featues since the current featues of the site were working perfectly before. withany hope they’ll have this sorted out by weeks end.
If anyone wants statistics (this is not exaggerated) I’ve tried two different accounts on three different computers with Zune.net and the Zune software and the Social has only been 100% 5 out of 40 logins and openings of the Zune software…
I’m sure they’ll have this sorted out soon (I hope soon) but it still is a little frustrating, I’m almost afraid to make purchases until everything seems back to normal as I already incurred a few errors here and there concerning new purchases also… and almost lost a small sum of Microsoft points…
Have been experience this particularly on slower connections (like my DSL at home). Profile picture not displaying or recent songs not loading in the Zune software. At the office on a faster connection it works much better and I do not experience those issues.
I have a fairly fast connection and almost always experience the issues, but who knows it could be different for some people… It’s just frustrating…
Well at least it not just me that is having problems. Sure wish the powers that be would think things out before they do them.
Still no access to music via Bing and my Zune card has been messed up for over a week. It’s like they want this whole Zune thing to fail. Seriously why announce that you can do something, when you can’t?
Have been a Zune user since almost day one and am still dumbfounded at the way this thing is being marketed.

Just got a Zune Pass and was excited to use it today, but another problem added to the list appeared whenever I try to search for anything in the Marketplace, nothing appears except Social Members no Artists, Songs, or Albums were returned in seven of my searches, even though the items exist in the Marketplace… Although another thing I noticed while on Zune.net it seems all the plays after albums had been reset almost everything I saw for total number of plays for each album said 0, except maybe like three albums I saw had a few numbers after them… And albums I had been playing throughout the week had no listeners listed or plays… I really do appreciate all the features being added and according to the team the Bing integration is progressively being brought up as I have seen some songs work through Bing, so that seems fine, but if the Marketplace is down, why don’t they at least let us know instead of having the same Up and Running under Support on Zune.net because it’s not…
What the hell is going on with the price increases?! I was just about to buy The Roots album and their charging over 1400 ms points! WTF!
@Roc: I’ll look into that as well. I didn’t notice that but that’s because of ZunePass. Is anyone else having this issue as well?
Badges are still off, loss of feed is a bug not a feature. Forums show 0 plays for everyone. Its been 3 weeks. This should be fixed by now. Or at leas t a little communication from the Zune team in the ZUNE FORUMS. Since thats where we are directed for support.
