We’ve been smitten by an Xbox LIVE Arcade title or two, (Alan Wake we’re looking at you). In fact during most of the year the Xbox LIVE Arcade games are where a lot of the action is for much of our friends list. Those bite sized titles we all love to play so much will get a boost in the form of Microsoft easing up restrictions related to how much Gamerscore a title can offer.
Starting in April all Xbox LIVE Arcade game developers will have the option to increase the amount of Gamerscore you can collect from their titles, from 200 to 400. In June Microsoft will make the new quantity mandatory for all new games going forward.
There’s no word from Microsoft on the motives behind the change.
