Windows 8 Pro upgrade to cost $39.99

To say that the world is a little anxious to see how sales of Windows 8 shake out is an understatement. So when we say Windows 8 Pro will cost you only $39.99, how does that effect your stance?

Starting in the fall users upgrading from Windows XP, Windows Vista, or Windows 7 will be able to purchase Windows 8 Pro, that is the version that allows you to add Windows Media Center for free and ships with a few other choice goodies, for $39.99 as a digital download, or $69.99 at your local retailer.

The ability to run all of those new Metro-style entertainment applications, for a very reasonable price? We’ll take that deal.
