Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto V might have been in the hands of users for a couple of weeks, but that doesn’t mean all of the treats baked into the latest installment in the franchise were available at launch. As of right now users, can download the update that allows them to enter the game’s Grand Theft Auto Online multiplayer mode.
Measuring in the megabytes users will definitely want to update their title the moment it’s available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Rockstar is billing the free add-on as a persistent universe that will allow users to interactive with the customized characters and vehicles of other users. It’s this mode that will see title updates, and new content added overtime, though so far, Rockstar has been pretty quiet about what that future content might be.
In addition to amassing wealth and their own fleet of vehicles, users can also team up with other players to pull of heists and other game modes.
Speaking of wealth, like many other free-to-play games, users will have the option of accelerating their progression through the multiplayer with in-game content that’s purchased with real money.
