Comcast subscribers won’t have to sit in front of their television sets to catch the latest episodes of White Collar and sports coverage aired by NBC Sports. The company’s new Xfinity TV Go app allows users to livestream many of the service’s channels at no extra cost.
While Xfinity didn’t issue a press release containing any information about the application, an enterprising Engadget user notice the application in the iTunes App Store and Google Play earlier this afternoon.
As most digital video service solutions go the application is pretty usable — as long as the end user has a subscription with Comcast. That’s because Xfinity TV Go requires that users input their Xfinity Cable information before allowing them to stream for one of the app’s pre-listed channels.
