The thing you feel in your heart? That feeling you have in your chest? That thing that makes you wanna snuggle up with a blanket and watch Xbox One related YouTube videos all the day long?  That’s anticipation folks, and Microsoft is hoping to capitalize on it with a series of events around the world for the Xbox One’s November 22nd launch.

Detailed today, Microsoft isn’t just relying on game retailers like Best Buy and GameStop for its midnight launch plans. The company is taking over New York City’s Time Square and Los Angeles’ Milk Studios on the night of November 21st for launch celebrations that include Xbox One stations equipped for users to try out the console.

Additionally, Microsoft is also teaming up with a few music stars to celebrate the occasion. The first 1,000 fans to purchase an Xbox One or an Xbox One game will receive tickets to see Macklemore and Ryan Lewis perform live at the Best Buy Theater New York City. The first 500 people to purchase the console or a related game will receive access to a concert by deadmau5 in Los Angeles.

Doors open at the Best Buy Theater at 9 p.m. local time, while doors open at the Los Angeles event at 6 p.m. local time.

Microsoft is also holding launch events at venues in Toronto, London, Berlin, Paris, Vienna, Sao Paulo, Sydney and Auckland. Thankfully, those who’ve already pre-ordered the console and don’t wish to celebrate the launch at GameStop, Best Buy or any other of the company’s retail partners will be able to follow along on Xbox.com, Xbox LIVE and Spike TV beginning at 11 p.m. on launch night.

As crazy as it may be, we’re kind of looking forward to a trip to New York City just to get a feel for the launch atmosphere, party it up and act undignified at midnight — however we understand that kind of behavior isn’t for everyone. For the record, we pretty much dance around like undignified game junkies every day, so its no big deal for us to do it with a crowd watching.
