You knew it was coming at some point. It wouldn’t be a year in gaming, if Electronic Arts wasn’t gearing up to release a brand new entry in its Madden NFL franchise. The video game developer has confirmed that Xbox One and Xbox 360 users can expect a new installment, Madden NFL 15, on August 26th.
Though the company did confirm the release date and a partnership that’ll allow ESPN viewers to vote on who appears on the cover on May 8th, Electronic Arts didn’t share much information about the new features users can expect from Madden NFL 15.
Confirmed new features do include a new presentation mode that’ll include more dynamic camera angles. Apparently, we can also expect dynamic halftime and pre-game content and some changes to defensive play from Madden NFL 15. Unfortunately, none of that feels like a good reason to spend $60 on another roster update. Of course, some of us have said the same thing about the last entry in the franchise and it included Kinect 2 sensor integration and a special CoachGlass SmartGlass experience.
Electronic Arts will definitely have more to say about Madden NFL 15 at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo. It begins on June 10th. Expect Madden NFL 15 on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 too. It doesn’t look like it’ll be coming to the Wii U.
