We all knew it was a matter of time before wrestling invaded the Xbox One. WWE announced that they’d be delivering a custom-made app for Microsoft’s consoles during this year’s Consumer Electronics Show. That app now available.
Microsoft announced the WWE Network app for the Xbox One in a post that also highlighted past WWE WrestleMania events, today. Essentially, subscribers to WWE Network have access to an absolutely ridiculous amount of wrestling footage. We’re talking wall to wall streaming video of John Cena and friends beating each other senseless with chairs, boots and just about anything else they can find. Seriously, it’s that intense.
We suspect the wrath of potential WWE Network subscribers on the Xbox One will be equally intense after they realize they’ll need an Xbox Live Gold subscription and a subscription to WWE Network. That subscription to WWE Network will cost users $9.99 a month and require a 6 month subscription. Of course, Xbox Live costs users $9.99 a month or $59.99 a year.
