So you thought that playing through Assassin’s Creed Unity and earning achievements would be as easy as past versions where. It could be, but not if you and your friends plan on diving into Heists, a name cooperative, repayable game mode revealed earlier today.
Ubisoft representatives began showcasing the Heists that users can expect in Assassin’s Creed Unity with members of the gaming press earlier today. As described by Polygon, Heists forces Assassin’s Creed Unity players to team up for missions where timing, following directions and coming up with a plan is essential to achieving objectives. Ubisoft hopes that players will dive into Heists they’ve already completed over and over again, which is why Heists will play a little differently every time they’re started.
Not being coordinated could end the mission, but players won’t have to completely start over if they’re smart. As long as they stay safe team members will be able to revive each other when they die. Each player will be able to select different skills in the game’s co-operative mode that give them a slight advantage in one area or another. Skills include Deadly, Resilient, Unseen or Agile. Assassin’s Creed Unity players in the same party will be able to stack those skills and grant them to those they are playing with.
All told, Heists could prove to be the smartest move Ubisoft has made in multiplayer for the series in a long time. Assassin’s Creed Unity launches on the Xbox One and PS4 on November 11th. It won’t be coming to any older video game consoles.
