If you’re one of the millions who followed along as Microsoft showcased some of the new games coming to the Xbox One over the next year during its E3 2014 briefing than you already know about ScreamRide. When the company showed the game at its event, it was hard not to think of the game as simply theme park maker on rails for a gaming console. As a new video about ScreamRide shows us now, that’s actually the entirety of what the game is, it seems.
Microsoft’s Larry Hyrb stars in the video, which hit the Xbox Wire news site earlier today. In the video we’re treated to a first hand account of what will be available when Frontier Studios wraps of development work on the game. In addition to creating thrill rides that scare the pants off theme park goers users can also expect that when their rides go haywire they’ll take out buildings too. Like in Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, once a user builds something, they’ll be able to ride it and experience it for themselves.
All told, we’re not necessarily impressed by what we’re seeing in the game, but Frontier, who is most known for producing Kinectimals,Zoo Tycoon and Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 have some time to convince Xbox One and Xbox 360 users to pick it up. ScreamRide arrives on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 exclusively in the Spring of 2015.
