Microsoft’s is celebrating the start of the NBA Playoffs in the United States in the only way it knows how. In between games Microsoft is hoping that owners of the Xbox One will take sometime in venture into NBA 2K15. Beginning tonight any one with an Xbox Live Gold subscription can play NBA 2K15 absolutely free.
Microsoft announced the Playoff’s related festivities in a post on its Xbox Wire news blog earlier this week. From April 24th until April 27th Microsoft will let anyone with an Xbox Gold Subscription download and play NBA 2K15. Those who like the game will get to purchase a bundle that includes some in-game currency for the game’s career and team modes for just $64.99 through the Xbox Store. Any game saves racked up during the free Playoffs event will carry over to a digital or disc copy of the game.
An Xbox Live Gold subscription costs $9.99 a month or $60 a year, but the feeling you’ll get from playing NBA 2K15 for free while watching the NBA Playoffs through the Sling TV or Live TV apps snapped to your screen is priceless.
