An audio show hyping a video game? I’m not entirely sure who had the bright idea to produce a documentary podcast that fills in the gaps between what happened with Doctor Halsey at the beginning of Halo 4 and what we’re going to experience this fall with Halo 5: Guardians. Doesn’t matter though, I started listening this week and its positively brilliant. 343 Industries, the game’s developer, has terrific news for listeners of Hunt The Truth. The second season of the podcast kicks off today.
Microsoft announced the second season of Hunt The Truth this morning on Xbox Wire. Anyone can listen to Hunt The Truth ahead of the October 27th release of Halo 5 online or through iTunes and SoundCloud. The first season of the show focused on a journalist uncovering the mysteries of how and why the Master Chief was “created.” Franchise director Frank O’Connor hints at a bigger focus on the events happening throughout the galaxy with Hunt The Truth season 2.
Halo 5: Guardians pits the Master Chief and his team of Spartans up against a new team of would-be heroes lead by Jameson Locke, the focus of the Halo Nightfall television series that arrived last year with Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
