Perhaps this announcements comes too late for those of you that closely watch your Xbox Live activity feed. Rocket League, the rediculously popular racing/sports game developed by Psyonix, is available on Xbox One right now.

Rocket League for Xbox One official unlocked for those that placed pre-orders through the Xbox Store last night. The game is best described as soccer, but with customizable racing cars instead of people. It  costs $19.99 and includes all three of the large-scale content packs made available on the PS4 and Windows PC versions already. What’s more, Microsoft is throwing in two Xbox specific vehicles inspired by Halo’s Warthog and the Armadillo from Gears of War.

Up to four people can play Rocket League on a single Xbox One. Eight people can play the game through Xbox Live, complete with matchmaking and private lobbies.

Rocket League finally arriving on Xbox One is important for a few different reasons. First, it shocked everyone by selling millions of copies last year, despite being an unproven game from a small studio. Second, Psyonix and Sony had a deal that kept the game exclusive to PS4 consoles. Rocket League won’t get a release on the Xbox 360.
