If you’re like me and slept through the Super Bowl last night, you missed new trailers for Solo: A Star Wars Story and Avengers Infinity War Part One. I got you, fam.
The Solo: A Star Wars Story trailer is pretty standard fanfare for the franchise. It begins with an Empire solider asking questions from a potential recruit. This recruit doesn’t talk much during the entire trailer, but you get the sense that it’s Hon Solo since he mentions he wants to be a pilot. There are brief shots of the Millennium Falcon, Chewbacca and Donald Glover wearing the plushest fur coat I’ve ever seen. Lando Calrissian has the best taste money can buy, apparently.
Solo stars Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Alden Ehrenreich is Hon Solo. You’ve got some time to buy your tickets and check out Lando’s coat in person. The film doesn’t premiere until May 25th.
Avengers Infinity War practically needs no introduction, but I’m going to give it one anyway. What if all your favorite heroes from every Marvel film worth watching teamed up for one last battle that humans couldn’t possibly fight themselves? You don’t have to imagine it. Just watch the new trailer that aired during the game.
Aside from the spiffy new suit technology Iron Man and Spider-Man are sporting, the biggest thing I took away from this trailer is how much every one of the original heroes has aged. In particular, Captain Rogers has gone all old-man scruffy on us. Of the two movies, I’m definitely more excited for this one than I am for Solo.
Disney is apparently all about snatching as much money from your wallet as possible this summer. Avengers: Infinity War debuts on May 4th.
