Once again, Microsoft is delaying the Crackdown 3 release date. Folks, this game isn’t launching for a very, very long time.

Microsoft confirmed the latest Crackdown 3 release delay in a statement to Windows CentralThe outlet inquired about the game’s release after Kotaku published a report indicating the game was delayed again.

According to Microsoft, Crackdown 3 will now launch in February 2019. That gives Sumo Digital, more time to add new features and fix any bugs before release. It also means that Crackdown 3 won’t get overshadowed by the truly massive releases launching this fall, including Red Dead Redemption 2 and Call of Duty Black Ops 4.

However, this couldn’t come at a worse time for Microsoft. For those keeping track, Microsoft is now three years behind on delivering this game. It was originally set for a 2016 release. Last year, Microsoft said that it would launch Crackdown 3 with the Xbox One X. Now, here we are in Summer 2018, and the company has announced yet another delay. Software development is unpredictable, so Microsoft gets some leeway here. On the other hand, one could say video game publishers were put on this planet to make astrologers look good.
