So you have to excuse me for the late posting about new music. I was spending the earlier part of this week hanging out around Los Angeles for the E3 expo. I have to say that E3 was quite the spectacle this year (and let’s not forget that we finally have an official answer to the fate of Zune). However, I did manage to find some time to sample the new music that was released this week and I have some recommendations:

  • The Whitney Houston/Jordin Sparks collaboration “Celebrate” is a fantastic song that showcases the talents of both these women. It’s still sad that Whitney is no longer here with us, but this song almost feels like a ‘passing of the torch’ song that I’m sure Jordin will handle excellently.
  • While I think Sean Kingston’s song “Back 2 Life (Live It Up)” is a nice anthem, I can’t get past that it samples from the Soul II Soul song. Sometimes I think if I want to hear the sampled song, I’ll go listen to the sampled song.
  • I was pleasantly surprised by Jana Kramer’s debut album Jana Kramer. Particularly I liked the lead song “Good Time Comin’ On” and “Whiskey“. This girl sounds like she’s going places.
  • Oh oh oh oh and you have to try the Cypress Hill/Rusko EP Cypress x Rusko EP! That is all.

No really. That is all. See you next week. 🙂
