During my adolescent years I would always see commercials for U.S. Space Camp. It was mostly infomercial stuff but they would begin each spot with “Someday scientists say we will travel to Mars.” If Halo Legends is any indication of what happens once we start exploring the universe, well I’ll stay here.

“This sweeping science-fiction saga delves into the rich Halo universe with seven exciting stories (told in eight parts) including tales of Master Chief’s mysterious origins, the Spartans’ advanced combat capabilities and the tense rivalry between Spartans and Orbital Drop Shock Troopers (ODSTs). Created in collaboration with some of the world’s leading animators from Japan, “Halo Legends” draws you into the center of humankind’s ongoing battles with the Covenant, dynamically depicted in cutting-edge animation styles that deliver breathtaking visuals and gripping adventure. Go beyond the game – and enter the world of “Halo Legends”.
If you are a fan of Halo, anime, or science-fiction you’ll love it. The stories dive into the things that you never get to see take place in the games, and while I don’t agree on a few of the artist’s interpretations in a few segments, it is still a excellently animated tale. This Saturday night checkout “Halo Legends”, available for rental in the Zune Marketplace.
