We’ve received a decent amount of questions about Microsoft’s Kinect for Windows SDK and hardware and attempted to answer as many as we could on this January’s Ask enConnected. Now you can get in on the magic yourself: Kinect for Windows (the device) is now available from the Microsoft Store for $249.99 You can also download all that new software development kit right now at MSDN.
Just remember, a Kinect for Xbox 360 and Kinect for Windows sensor have different firmware with the latter including a new “Near Mode”.
