If you are like us, you can’t wait to get your hands on the final version of all the entertainment changes Microsoft is bringing to Windows 8. We’ll today we’re one step closer to getting it on the machine of our choice.

Microsoft’s Steven Sinofsky announced via the Building Windows 8 blog, that Microsoft has now finished development work on Windows 8, adding that the final versions will be available to subscribers of it’s own MSDN and TechNet services on August 15th. Those who are not a part of the IT professionals crowd will have to wait a little longer, until October 26th to upgrade their current hardware for $39.99 or purchase a new device with it preinstalled.

While nearly every nook and cranny of the operating system has been well documented, the final feature list of the things you consumers care about most -Music, Video, Xbox Games, Xbox Companion and so on have yet to be revealed. With a little luck, we’ll hear more about those a lot sooner than August 15th.
