Today Microsoft announced a rise in income to $7.99 billion, an increase of 5% compared to this time last year even though the company acknowledge that sales of PCs had contributed to a slight dip in Windows sales.

While Xbox kept up the sales momentum it’s enjoyed the last calendar year, profit margins and most of the users who purchased the console picked up more software titles.
