We’ve been refreshing our browsers for the better part of an entire day just to get our hands on Microsoft’s Release Preview version of Windows 8. Finally the wait is over!
As of 3pm EST you can head on over to the Windows 8 Preview website to download an upgrade wizard and test out the new application model, and Metro start screen for yourself. Just remember to not do so on anything else other than a spare machine. Sure, it should be near complete but there’s nothing wrong with be cautious. You could also leave an evaluation of the OS to the professionals, we”ll have more Windows 8 coverage over the next few weeks, than any normal human can take.
