Those Windows Phone users toting around a shiny Windows Phone 8X by HTC, should be excited. A lucky few of you will be among the first to receive an over-the-air update that’ll add new functionality to your device.
According to WPCentral, international versions of the HTC 8X are being updated to version 8.0.10211, which delivers the option to stay connected to your wireless internet connection from behind the lockscreen, the ability to decline calls and immediately follow up with the caller via a text message, SMS drafts, and the ability to select all email in your inbox. We’re also hearing that this update solves a problem we’ve noticed a lot of the past month – the sudden and random rebooting of your device.
There’s no word on when users of the 8X on Verizon, AT&T, or T-Mobile will be able to get the opportunity to upgrade the software on their devices, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled and let you know when we know anything more
