Users of Xbox Music on Android can create radio stations based on their favorite artists too.
While Microsoft has yet formally announce the availability of the feature, the update containing radio playlists began going out to users yesterday. The company added radio playlist creation to Xbox Music on iOS earlier this week.
Longtime Xbox Music/Zune Music Pass users should note that the feature isn’t entirely identical to the Smart DJ feature that the service added with the launch of the Zune HD. While Smart DJ mixes could be based off individual songs originally, users can only create Radio mixes from artists themselves. Playlists created with Radio also sync to other Xbox Music clients.
For the record, Xbox Music on Windows Phone doesn’t include support for Radio station creation and syncing, however it does support its prior SmartDJ incarnation.
