We hope you Xbox Live lovers haven’t grown too tired of news related to Xbox Entertainment Studios, the in-house production company that Microsoft hopes will make it a player in original programming. XES is getting another high-profile television insider: Ari Mark.
According to Polygon, Mark will lead the Xbox Entertainment Studios’ unscripted programming division. There he’ll lead the same team that’s already announced a series starring Soccer players called Every Street United and an as-yet-to-named documentary series whose first episode will focus on Atari’s decision to bury thousands of game cartridges.
Marks hiring is huge if for no other reason than his pedigree. He previously worked at AMC and the Sundance Channel where he developed The Pitch, Talking Dead and a few others.
Microsoft hasn’t shared any details about how and when Xbox Entertainment Studios’ slate of programming will make its way to users.
